특히 한복의 색에서 영감을 받아 현대감성에 맞게 모던한 오브젝트로 풀어낸 작업입니다. 흔히 한복에 쓰이는 노방천을 보면 편안하면서도 부드럽고,고운 분위기가 나는데요,그런 색감에서 우리만이 가지고 있는 한국적인 미감을 느꼈고,그 분위기와 색감을 녹여낸 가구와 오브젝트를 디자인 했습니다. 오래 봐도 질리지 않는 자연으로부터 온 색감을 담은

TONE SERIES는 서정적인 한국의 색과 모던한 감성이 담긴 오브제로써,일상생활에 가구 그 이상의 아트워크로써 가치가 있습니다. 

Hi. Let me introduce [ TONE: Korean Traditional Colors ] The TONE series is inspired by the traditional colors of Korea, especially the ‘Hanbok’ which is Korean traditional clothes. I used these traditional colors and made these characteristics into art-furniture with a modern sensibility. When you look at the ‘노방’ which is fabric often used in hanbok, you can feel comfortable, soft, and beautiful. In such colors, I felt Korean aesthetics and designed furniture that used the atmosphere and colors. Using the book of the Korean traditional colors and the actual hanbok material, I tried to create a unique atmosphere of the hanbok into my works. TONE SERIES is the object of lyrical Korean colors and modern sensibilities. It is worth more than the furniture itself. I look forward to it works as an artwork in everyday life.

색상 : 

호기심에서 시작한 프로젝트. 왜 한복은 색이 다양한데도 보기에 조화롭고 편안할까? 라는 생각을 하곤 했는데, 자료를 찾던 중 알게 된 사실이 우리 조상들은 뛰어난 관찰력과 슬기로 식물에서 천연의 색깔을 찾아냈고,천연 염료와 매염제를 사용하여 다양하고 자연스러운 색을 가진 천을 만들 수 있었다고 합니다. 그래서 오래봐도 질리지 않는 편안하고,고운 색과 분위기를 냅니다. 흔히 한국의 전통 색이라고 하면 우리는 '오방색'부터 떠올립니다. 청색, 녹색, 적색, 흑색, 백색. 이 색들 역시 다양한 의미를 담고 여러 형태로 변주되어 온 색이기에 그 의미가 깊지만, 사실 우리에게는 선조들이 남겨준 서정적이고 아름다운 의미를 가진 색들이 많고, 그 고유의 이름(치자색,홍람색 등)이 있습니다. 서정적인 한국의 색과 현대적인 감성이 담긴 오브제를 감상하며 일상생활에 가구 그 이상의 아트워크로 자리하길 기대합니다. 

The project started with curiosity. How it looks harmonious and comfortable to look at even though Hanbok is made with various colors. When I was looking for data, I found out that our ancestors found natural colors in plants with excellent observation and wiseness, and made natural and colorful fabrics using natural dyes and mordants. So it doesn't get tiring to see even after a long time.

When People often speak of Korean traditional colors, we think of the five colors. Blue, green, red, black, white. These colors are meaningful because they have various meanings and have been transformed into various forms, but in fact, we have a lot of lyrical and beautiful meanings left by our ancestors, and we have their own names (치자색,홍람색 etc.). We look forward to enjoying objects with lyrical Korean colors and contemporary sensibilities and look forward to TONE will become an artwork in everyday life

염색 :

우리 고유의 칼라를 찾아보면서 한국의 색 ‘한국의 전통적인 디자인으로 알아보는 한국적인 배색들’이라는 책을 알게 되었고,그 책과 실제 한복 소재의 색감을 사용해 우리가 쓰는 오브제에서도 한복 특유의 고운 분위기를 낼 수 있도록 노력했습니다. 책에는 우리고유의 색상인 315개의 색상이 있었는데,여러조합으로도 조화로울 수 있도록 저의 미감과 시선으로 바라본 한국의 대표적인 색상 20개를 뽑았습니다. 아크릴 자체에는 원하는 색이 없어서,아크릴에 수작업으로 염색해가며 그 톤을 맞추려고 노력했습니다. 

As I searched for our own colors, I came across a book called Korean Colors: Korean Color Schemes.Using the colors of the book and the actual hanbok material, I tried to create a unique atmosphere of the hanbok into my works. There are 315 colors in our book, and I selected 20 representative colors of Korea that I saw with my aesthetics and gaze to harmonize with various combinations. There are not desired colored acrylic so I tried to match the tone by dying with handwork.

20가지의 색이 서로 조합하는 것에따라 다른 분위기를 내면서,어떤 색으로도 서로 잘 어울리는 것을 보면서 우리 전통색이 정말 과학적이라고 느꼈습니다. 한국 전통 색을 담은 나만의 ‘TONE’이 다양한 공간에서 우리 고유의 아름다운 미감을 드러내며 쓰이길 바랍니다. 

20 colors have different mood depends on how to combine themselves and each combination look good in anyways. I felt that our traditional colors were really scientific. We hope that your own ‘TONE Series’ with traditional Korean colors will be used to reveal our unique beautiful aesthetic in various spaces.
